Oṃkāra: The Causality of All

The Supreme Lord here reveals the meaning of sound Oṃ (AUM) and how that takes a form called Oṃkāra as the cause and becomes the entire cosmic existence.

(Below is the revelation as extracted from Māḻikā, given by Śrī Guru Lord Jagannātha in Sanskrit and Oḍiā; translated into English for the benefit of Mankind)

English Translation

Śrī Guru Speaks:

The greatest reality, unvaried,
Complete in essence of bliss, is Hari.
The Oṃkāraḥ that in all body stays
Onto His feet I bow with reverence.

From Oṃkāra all birth does ensure
Oṃkāra is of Guru’s measure
Onto Oṃkāra principle holding,
All the time, do the Oṃkāra chanting.
Thus everyday you must keep doing
Every early morning and evening.

A, U and M each letter
Always repeat, o’ daughter.
Blossom it will with great glare
Illuminate it will there.
Oṃkāra will become visible
Oṃkāra that is the cause of all.

In Oṃkāra I am present
As Oṃkāra’s dot enjoined.
Oṃkāra that which here is said
This world, universe, is inlaid
After Oṃkāra there is nothing
Oṃkāra is life of everything
Inside Oṃkāra I am present
By Oṃkāra my body is meant.

Disclaimer:

The Divine Revelations extracted and presented here in their original and uncorrupted form have made heavy incorporation of Chanda (Poetic Metre and Crypt), have multiple meanings and ingrain deep symbolism which make them very difficult to understand. While the same Sūkti (Divine Revelation) may also be understood and interpreted differently by different seekers and teachers of Spiritualism, all paths lead to the same goal towards realisation of Brahma (the Ultimate Truth).

The above Translation is a humble attempt by members of Hari Parivār to interpret and explain the original extraction in context of the Supreme Lord Jagannātha’s prescribed path of Bhāva (Emotion), Bhakti (Devotion) and Prema (Love).
