On Rejecting Illusion for Divine Experience

The Supreme Lord here reveals how everyone in this world is stuck in doubt and hence is in deep illusion, and how strong belief, ardour and love can help one in finding blissfulness and experiencing the Supreme.

(Below is the revelation as extracted from Māḻikā (Mystic Oracular Books), given by Śrī Guru Lord Jagannātha in Oḍiā; translated into English for the benefit of Mankind)

English Translation

Śrī Guru Speaks:

Sitting as the Puruṣottama
I, Keśava, in Guru form, know,
Where as is my divine residence
I am sitting as per my will thence
Thus is but my only discretion
For sure to give my divine diction,
Few words as my divine verses fare –
But with you again now I shall share.

In Illusion do not enter, son,
Ample Illusion is going on –
Do know on this very earthly plane,
Of this Illusion to know again –
Many people strong desires do hold
But I’m not in Illusion, behold,
Nor give my divine appearance, true,
Only as is my prescribed path’s view
In that specific path marching on –
You should be trying to, ‘o my son.

Illusion is of what use to you?
In experience one finds Lord’s view
Such experience in abundance
O’ son, shall happen in your life whence,
Visual of my divine presence
Know that you shall witness for sure thence
In thoughts of me if you always stay
Illusion will not affect I say!

To hold onto Illusion, do know,
And to see Illusion again though,
See how these Illusions I create,
O’ son, into that do not fixate.
In this way stuck many people are
To watch being their intent by far
To witness my very Illusion
They themselves contemplate decision
But Illusion what will you witness?
Like air is its appearance, no less!

The Illusion, to witness, o’ son,
Who but has one such a wish alone?

One who in any doubt falls along
To see Illusion in time does long
And in mind makes the contemplation
Hence the result becomes delusion.

One who totally believes in me
Since Illusion does not want to see,
For Illusion is of what use, know,
Hence sees me, the Puruṣottama!
Seeing and seeing but me alone
Inside the heart ardour’s expansion –
Happens, o’ son, thus I here reveal,
How my divine form is, view with zeal!

Seeing my form but as I have shown
In the mind when the picture gets drawn
At that time turbulent sans control –
Blissful lines of tear from the eyes roll
And then they do flow downwards for sure
And fall into the core of heart pure,
Then, as are mellifluous verses,
In his very heart then arises,
And after they arise in his heart
He starts understanding me in part,
That’s the experience, but no less,
And without that there is nothing else!

Amen

Disclaimer:

The Divine Revelations extracted and presented here in their original and uncorrupted form have made heavy incorporation of Chanda (Poetic Metre and Crypt), have multiple meanings and ingrain deep symbolism which make them very difficult to understand. While the same Sūkti (Divine Revelation) may also be understood and interpreted differently by different seekers and teachers of Spiritualism, all paths lead to the same goal towards realisation of Brahma (the Ultimate Truth).

The above Translation is a humble attempt by members of Hari Parivār to interpret and explain the original extraction in context of the Supreme Lord Jagannātha’s prescribed path of Bhāva (Ardour), Bhakti (Devotion) and Prema (Love).
